When John Sommers, president and CEO of Allied Printing, tapped Koenig & Bauer to build a specially-configured high-performance press, it lifted the firm’s reputation and rewarded its customers with emerging revenue prospects. Its UV capabilities and two coating units for special techniques, textures, and effects optimized Allied’s sterling status. Having the agility to operate the new press at top running speeds provides increased productivity and flexibility. Not only would it provide innovation but adding another press would propel the firm into new markets and increase its bottom line.

The new Koenig & Bauer press is the fourth in four years destined for Allied’s facility. Koenig & Bauer can always answer the unique configuration necessary to Allied’s growth. One of its machines is a hybrid UV press, with the ability to run and cure UV inks in any unit with overall and spot UV coating. Its current fleet of Koenig & Bauer presses delivers inline color management and register control to ensure consistent quality, can handle a wide range of printing substrates from lightweight plastics to heavy board, and provides Allied with faster turnarounds with automated inline systems.
