Digital Printing for High Industrial Requirements
The Koenig & Bauer RotaJET is a high-volume printing press for a wide range of applications. It enables our customers to set the course for new digital concepts. After all, the digital printing market is an important growth area that offers flexibility and facilitates the adaptation of business models.
The RotaJET was developed for industrial single-pass digital printing and the processing of a wide variety of substrates. The substrate guidance around the central cylinder ensures high register accuracy, print quality and process stability during operation.
Trends towards individualisation, personalisation and innovative design are driving the digital transformation in the printing sector. Digital printing shortens time-to-market and provides flexibility for seasonal changes and product life cycles. Marketing campaigns, special events, promotions, track & trace and digital watermarks can be implemented easily, creating new opportunities for direct customer communication.

Specialised in Many Application Fields

Packaging Printing
The trend towards greater diversification of consumer goods presents brands and packaging companies with challenges. Flying job changes reduce set-up times when producing smaller runs compared to conventional printing processes. This also enables the cost-effective production of "special interest" and personalised packaging.
Food safety at Koenig & Bauer RotaJET is not limited to the inks and fluids used, but extends to the entire machine: The Koenig & Bauer RotaJET can optionally be supplied with lubricants and components according to the H1 standard for indirect food contact.

Decor Printing
Digitally printed decors for flooring, furniture, wall and ceiling panels, kitchen plates and many more similar applications augment the range of products handled by the Koenig & Bauer RotaJET. The time to market is reduced for new designs and the production of existing decors becomes more flexible. Numerous new design options, such as decor lengths of 5,600 mm, the highlighting of key details or colour gradations without repetition, are made possible by digital printing technology.

Book Printing
The Koenig & Bauer RotaJET supports publishers in optimising process and secondary costs (e.g. through lower storage costs and the reduction of unsold inventory) and enables demand-oriented production of books and publications for on-demand delivery. Financial risk for new releases is minimised, while availability – particularly for backlist titles – is maintained. Thanks to demand-synchronised manufacturing, the RotaJET reduces overproduction and material waste compared to fixed large runs in conventional printing.
