Our commitment to the environment and our fellow human beings does not end at the gates of the Koenig & Bauer plants - quite the opposite. We are committed to our responsibility to society.

As a globally operating printing press manufacturer, Koenig & Bauer has always stood for cosmopolitanism and tolerance. Our permanent workforce also includes individuals who fled their home countries for political or religious reasons. Some completed their vocational training at Koenig & Bauer, while others started directly in their careers. At our Radebeul location, we also support the association "Wirtschaft für ein weltoffenes Sachsen" (Economy for a Cosmopolitan Saxony) to accompany and promote the integration of influx and immigration into the economy through concrete measures.

A major contribution to society includes the diverse voluntary activities of managers and employees at Chambers of Industry and Commerce, Crafts Chambers, as honorary judges at labor and social courts, and in emergency response organizations such as the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW), fire departments, and rescue services. Political involvement in city and municipal councils is also supported by Koenig & Bauer. In many cases, employees are released from work duties by Koenig & Bauer for their diverse voluntary activities.

At Koenig & Bauer, social and cultural commitment includes sponsoring and donation activities. The group policy on sponsoring and donations governs the fundamental understanding of the company regarding these issues.

In addition to supporting the Africa Festival in Würzburg as the main sponsor, Koenig & Bauer provides financial resources for social projects. At the subsidiary Koenig & Bauer MetalPrint, there is an annual fundraising event with a raffle by employees for a children's and youth hospice in Stuttgart, with doubling of the donation amount by the company. Sponsoring activities also include projects aimed at advancing climate protection and sustainable resource management. The industry award sponsored by Koenig & Bauer at the Print & Media Awards for the Environmentally Oriented Company of the Year recognizes the eco-commitment of printing operations.
